On Thursday 13th July, the Becconsall U3A Spanish Group entertained the Coffee morning with a hilarious play which they had written and performed in Spanish. It was the second of a programme of demonstrations which will be given by many of our Groups at Coffee mornings in the coming months.
The entire Spanish Group took part and the play took place in Pepe’s Restaurant where a boisterous and drunken UK holiday maker came in and attempted to demonstrate his skills with attracting ladies by using key phrases from Bill’s little black book. It all went well until the owner Pepe, came in to inform the audience that it was his wife that was being chatted up and his adept use of a chopper delivered a great ending to a brilliant performance. Well done the Spanish Group – the incredible progress they have made with what is a difficult language to learn was well demonstrated.
