Mike and Sue supporting a needy cause

Last year, many Becconsall U3A members supported Mike’s fund raising for the Willy Russell Centre in Liverpool an NHS unit that helps children and young adults who stammer. This post is to let you know what happened to your contributions. In the end, £1,200.00 was raised and this money has been spent on books, toys and essential equipment. On 23 March, Mike and Sue went to the Centre for a presentation. Twenty nine users of the service attended and the presentation was very well received indeed. Mike and Sue would like to thank all of you who supported us – your contribution has made a real difference.
