Our latest meeting of the Water-colour Painting Group took place on Tuesday 17th March 2015 when the subject for the project group was “A Farm House in Bakewell Derbyshire” which was once again taken on enthusiastically by the group and will hopefully completed for display as usual on the next meeting’s “Bragg Table”. Meanwhile this meetings Bragg table included work from the previous meeting the subject being “A Vase of Flowers”. All work shown was as usual most commendable and everybody is showing excellent work. It was also noted that each artist should be praised for adding extra detailing which added individuality and enhanced finish and once again I must applaud the effort.
The Group has also exhibited their work at the “Heritage Trail Opening” function on Saturday 21st March. The visitors having viewed our work with a great deal of enthusiasm and welcomed comment.
Our group is now taking a “Easter Break” and the next meeting will be on Tuesday 21st April 2015 when we will be receiving another session of instruction by Mike Ellis using pen & pencil drawing techniques such as “Perspective Drawing”
Anybody from the Becconsall U3A group is welcome to join us all levels of ability can be accommodated even those who have not done this artwork before.
