Information about activities dates and venues will be available on the U3A website and will be sent by group email, a buddy system has been set up for those who don’t have email access.
Information will also be available at the coffee mornings
It is intended to run two different areas of gardening interest.
- To enable members to enhance and develop their practical gardening skills in propagation, cultivation, planning and design.
Susan Watson will run these with the help of “Experts” at her garden, Wedgwood, Shore Road, Hesketh Bank, PR4 6XP. We will be able to use her facilities. Initially these will be held on Fridays,
First Practical Session : Friday 3rd of March 2017
Between 10.00am and 3.00pm at Wedgwood Shore Road
Sowing Sweet Peas (don’t forget to bring your seeds) Compost.
Tea and Coffee and biscuits will be provided
- To visit gardens, garden centres, horticultural events etc, local and further afield each to be planned with members by different members organising these visits – similar to the approach the walking group uses.
The first of these has been arranged by Olive – A guided tour of the Snowdrops at Bank Hall on Friday February the 24th meet there at 2pm cost £3.
Please can everyone look out for local venues /places of interest. Margaret to check out stand in Booths
Please bring to next meeting which is on March 2nd at 11.30 after the coffee morning in the Village Hall.
